Pie 950 Pizza Tavern opens at Plaza Midtown

With the success of Prickly Pear Taqueria, Angelo and Nicole Laios (former owners of Mambo Italiano) have rolled out "Pie 950 Pizza Tavern" to take over the remaining portion of the Amore space at Plaza Midtown.

Located on the corner of W Peachtree Street and 8th Street, the restaurant consists of a 140-seat bi-level dining area featuring a mezzanine balcony accessed by an ornate cast-iron staircase.

Angelo is trying to create the environment of an European Pizzeria - there will be six 50" flat-screen TVs devoted solely to international soccer matches. The menu consists of wood-fire baked pizza, antipastis, calzones, subs, paninis, gelato, and gourmet salads. The full bar serves gourmet milkshakes, a wide array of wines, cheap draft beers ($2 PBR, $4 Peroni & Abita Jockamo IPA), and 20+ craft bottles like Terrapin Sun Ray Wheat and Moretti La Rossa.
